Scots Squash Players Medal at Connecticut Junior Championships

Scots Squash Players Medal at Connecticut Junior Championships

Scots Squash traveled to Connecticut for the season's first Junior Championship (JCT). The top 32 players of each United States age division qualify for the event, producing top-level matches.

Junior Alexander Dartnell '25, the current US National Champion and #1 ranked Under-17 division player, played up two divisions and crushed his early rounds.  Dartnell continued his performance with a stunning victory over the current #3 ranked Under-19 player in the semi-finals and ultimately beat the current Under-19 National Champion to secure the gold medal.

Lower School player Lars Daly '31 competed fiercely in the Under-11 division and won all his early matches without dropping a single game, finishing second and earning a silver medal. In a very competitive Under-15 field, Freshman Lars Gertsen cruised through his early matches and finished with a bronze medal.

Other Scots squash players, Philip Dartnel '25, Causey Green '24, and Sami Garside '26, performed well and continue improving their skills at the highest levels in US Junior Squash events. Congratulations to the team and coaches, Wael El Hindi, Charlie Houlton, and Mauricio Dasso, on a great start to the season!
